What is PSTN?

PSTN means public switched telephone network. In the UK the word refers to the public telephone network (mostly built by British Telecom).

To have a PSTN line it normally means a single analogue telephone line.

PSTN lines are commonly used in homes and small business for making and receiving calls, broadband internet, fax, alarm lines, emergency lines, etc
