What is a User PIN on a Mitel IP Phone?

Posted by Paul Wilson on 12 July, 2016

On a Mitel IP phone, every user can set their own PIN. This is used to secure the phone with features like Phone Lock, and it also lets a user log into any phone in Hot Desk mode.

PIN Rules

By default, all PINs are blank. In Phone Lock mode, you can use the hash key # to unlock the phone if you don't have a PIN.

If you would like to create a new PIN, you can use any numbers from 0 to 9. A valid PIN can be 0 (i.e. blank) to 8 digits long.
