ShoreTel® (NASDAQ: SHOR), the leading provider of brilliantly simple phone systems and unified communications (UC) solutions, continues its technical partnership with Williams Martini Racing at the Singapore Grand Prix in 2014. For the second year, ShoreTel willdeliver a full UC and mobility infrastructure throughout the Williams business – including the race team, Williams Advanced Engineering, and the world-renowned Conference Centre. The affiliation will maximise communication and collaboration between the drivers, race strategists, management and operations teams around the world, propelling the organisation forward during this year’s exciting season.

Originally, ShoreTel joined forces with Williams to become an Official Supplier for the UK-based team in June 2013 through the entire 2014 race calendar. Highlights of the partnership include the 2013 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix and 2014 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix – given its unique combination of being held at night on a very challenging track and with the city nightscape of the Marina Bay Street Circuit and the accompanying Circuit Park as a backdrop, the Singapore Grand Prix is a spectacle watched by millions of motorsport enthusiasts.

During the season, ShoreTel is providing its award-winning UC solutions across the entire Williams organisation, facilitating the team’s activities at all races, as well as promoting the Customer Experience at the Williams Conference Centre. The Conference Centre is seen worldwide as a first-class facility offering a modern and creative environment to meet, train, network and entertain guests at any time, including hospitality on certain race days.

ShoreTel’s UC system consists of an easy-to-use phone system to integrate voice and data systems through a single interface, ShoreTel Mobility client licenses to extend UC applications to mobile devices, ShoreTel IP 930D mobile handsets for all-day mobility, conferencing services, and a ShoreTel Enterprise Contact Centre (ECC) with multimedia capabilities to enhance the team’s communications before, during and after all the races in the season.

“This exciting union with Williams showcases ShoreTel’s full UC and mobility capabilities, as well as features that support inbound call management with one of the world’s most distinguished engineering companies,” said Bruce Downing, ShoreTel’s Managing Director, Asia and South Africa. “With powerful data-analysis tools, the ShoreTel Contact Centre enables Williams Martini Racing to configure business process and resources – ensuring seamless alignment with the demand from internal and external audiences –to fine-tune the team’s day-to-day operations, as well as their race-day communications between the drivers, pit experts, logistics masters and principals.

“We are pleased to have ShoreTel back for the second year as Official Supplier of the team after a rewarding relationship last year,” said Claire Williams, Deputy Team Principal and Commercial Director of Williams Martini Racing. “With ShoreTel’s UC technology connecting our drivers with the rest of the enterprise with mission-critical communications and improved teamwork and efficiency, we are climbing the charts in the 2014 FIA Formula One World Championship".
