About National Lottery Heritage Fund

As a non-departmental public body accountable to Parliament via the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) keeping costs down and improving reliability is always a consideration for business operations.

 

When their current business mobile provider was inflexible to change it became apparent that NLHF needed to find themselves a new supplier who understood the needs of their business and didn't offer a "one-size-fits-all" solution and most importantly offered excellent levels of customer service should issues arise or changes need to be made.

 

Embarking upon a Digital Transformation journey, it was of paramount importance that the National Lottery Heritage Fund could find a provider who sat on the RM3808 (Network Services) framework and would help support them and the ever-changing needs of the organisation.


The Solution

Opting for a sim-only deal meant that costs could be saved by using their current handsets and tablets whilst enjoying reduced costs on their calls and data costs. With 350 mobile users reliability is also a key consideration for NLHF, Wavenet uses multiple carriers and this provides a robust network with unrivalled connectivity and opens up the ability for the mobiles to be used as an effective remote working solution.

 

As NLHF embarked upon a digital transformation project where all staff were given the flexibility to work from home, a major unknown was how much data would be consumed by the organisation, therefore a per-user data bundle was extremely important. To further support this Wavenet provided a data pool to remove any bill shock.
