Tender Process Explained

Stage 1

Examination of the prospective supplier’s technical competence will be carried out. Customer management will be assessed in line with the references and case studies provided to demonstrate an understanding of the specific requirements of [Company Name].

At this and subsequent stages, the tender will outline the scope of the project against which suppliers will be assessed throughout the tender process.

Stage 1 will be completed with a ranking process to inform a shortlist of preferred suppliers who will progress to Stage 2, subject to clarification of questions where necessary.

There will be no more than 4 companies within the shortlist; however [Company Name] reserves the right to extend this number.

Stage 2

Stage 2 will consist of individual meetings with [Company Name] and each prospective supplier to question further the proposed solutions and requirements.

An agenda will be issued by [XX/XX/XX] for clarity on the scope of the meeting.

There will be a period of time granted for clarification for suppliers prior to the publication of the Company’s final requirements. This will be within the agreed scope of this document and more information will be provided regarding the integration, implementation and required Service Level.

Stage 3

The award will be based upon the cost of proposed services subject to meeting the criteria outlined in the Final Requirements Document.
