We've previously looked at personal ring groups, which are groups that you can use to control multiple devices. For example: if you have a smartphone app and a desk phone, you could place both devices into a group and then receive calls on either.
In some cases, you'll want to pass a call from one device to another. This is called Handoff.
This Mitel phone guide is for MiVoice Business (also known as Mitel 3300 ICP) users only.
Push vs Pull
When you initiate a Push command, you will push the active call to the rest of your devices in your personal ring group. You can then answer it using any of the other devices in the group. To do this, press the Handoff key.
Conversely, a Pull comment takes an active call away from its current device and redirects it onto the device you're using. To do this, lift the handset (or activate handsfree mode), and then press the Handoff key.
